Case challenging the Facebook algorithm and content moderation

This case was filed at the Kenyan High Court in December 2022. The Petitioners are Abrham Meareg, Fisseha Tekle and Katiba Institute. I represent the first two Petitioners. In this case we seek changes to the Facebook algorithm to stop carrying, prioritising and promoting inciteful, hateful and dangerous speech. We also seek damages for any person whose human rights have been violated owing to the Facebook algorithm and failures in Facebook's content moderation practices.
